Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing was established in 2010 under Decision No. 02/QD-CTHĐQT-ĐHTĐ. Although newly established, the Faculty has been fully invested with facilities and equipment according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The Faculty advises the Rector on training, scientific research, and professional development within its specialized fields; conducts teaching, research, and training activities; and manages academic and student affairs within its scope.
Its management and teaching staff are experienced professionals with high qualifications, dedication, and strong commitment to education and training.
The Faculty is one of the units of TDU accredited by the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, achieving program-level quality accreditation for Pharmacy in 2018 and Nursing in 2022.
As of October 2025, the Faculty has 42 full-time lecturers, all of whom hold postgraduate qualifications, including 01 Professor, 10 PhDs, 20 Masters, several specialists (Level I), and 01 Bachelor. The Faculty consists of four departments as shown in Figure 2.

As a part of TDU, The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing has also established its vision and mission to carry out the tasks of a training unit in meeting the mission and vision of TDU:
- Mission: The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing provides application-oriented training in health sciences to meet society’s need for high-quality medical human resources, contributing to sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region by 2035.
- Vision: By 2045, the Faculty aims to become a training unit producing medical professionals equipped with entrepreneurship capability, innovative competence, and international integration skills, oriented toward community service. The Faculty seeks to develop into a nationally recognized health sciences training unit offering lifelong learning opportunities for learners.
- Training activities: The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing offers various educational programs in the field of health sciences.
As of October 2025, the Faculty has implemented three undergraduate programs, as presented in Table 1.

- Research activities: The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing attaches great importance to scientific research activities among lecturers and students.
- Quality Assurance:
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing pays great attention to enhancing and developing the quality of its education and training programs in accordance with national standards while striving toward regional and international integration.
The Quality Assurance Team of the Faculty was established in 2016 with the function of conducting research and providing advice to the Dean on quality assurance, training improvement, and the implementation of the unit’s quality assurance activities.
Recognizing the importance of the self-assessment process in ensuring and improving quality, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing has continuously conducted self-assessment activities for each training program. In 2018, the Pharmacy program of the Faculty was accredited according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, and in 2021, the Nursing program was granted a Quality Accreditation Certificate for the period 2021–2025.
In addition to teaching, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Nursing effectively carries out scientific research activities in various forms and topics with high applicability in the field of health sciences, serving the academic and research needs of both lecturers and students.
